I INTEND TO BECOME A MINISTER
Bolaji Amusan popularly call Mr. Latin by all and sundry spoke to CelebrityWorld about his life, passions and his project to elevate poverty around in the community. And his secrete ambition of becoming a federal minister soonest.Exerpts
You are also putting an NGO together tell us about it?
Yes am trying to put an NGO together, Mr. Latin Foundation which I tag 'Save A Life Today'. Over the years, people come to my office and home for help and all that. And I do to the best of my ability and at that point, I felt maybe the society is looking up to me to give back to her what she has given to me. But unfortunately most people that engage in NGO's go into it because they are in need of money. Yes, I need money too but not to that extent. This one am putting together is save a life today, I must not become another Dangote, Mike Adenuga or Femi Otedola of this world before I can save a life with just One Hundred naira or even Twenty Naira. When you go to public schools you see brilliant students with out textbooks. If you buy Five Hundred Naira text book for such child you have save a life. Someone going to write exams and he or she doesn’t have transport fee, you can just give Two Hundred Naira and you have saved his or her life. You see people at the hospital who have been treated and are ok but could not afford to pay the hospital bills. Such person will have to work to write off his or her bill and the sickness will be back because there is no much time to rest. You can just off set the bill and save the life. And that is what my foundation is all about. And that is why I have gotten credible people form the society to be members of the board of trustees of the foundation. So that I will not have the sole access or direct access to the funds that comes in. It has to come in through them first. And every year we will have a fund rising while we update people what we have done with the previous fund of the previous year. And they will cross check because we will open a foundation because we will open a foundation for people over the world to see what we have been up to. And see that this is a real foundation.
Were do you see yourself in the next few years?
By the special grace of God in the next five years, I intend to become a minister in Nigeria. I am presently studying traveling and Tourism management from Excedel College in the United Kingdom. So after that I will do my masters and I will be waiting from an appointment from any of my friends in government or would have been president or governor by then. I have many of my friends in government. And I want to say thank you to all my fans out there because without them there is no me. And to say that they should be more patient because we are all human been and I am not a super human being. We are bound to make mistakes and that is why pencils have erasers. And I pray that God will be with them and hold them.
