Already with several Yoruba, English movies and a television show under his belt, the young entertainer is not stopping nor slowing down for a second. We caught up with Tomiwa on a movie set been directed by the prolific Alex Mouth, a director on the award winning Tinsel and the director of Lekki Housewives.
The movie also features Bukky Wright, Rachel Oniga, Yemi Black and Mary Lazarus amongst others and Tomiwa says while getting into his costumes “I am excited about the year, a lot to do and I love the scripts I am getting now. Last year I didn’t get anything really challenging, so I had to turn down some jobs. I wanted something deep and this is deep”. The theatre arts graduate of the University of Ibadan is not only a fantastic comedian, but a brilliant act and comedian that started gracing the stage alongside popular actors cum comedian right from his first day as a fresh man in the University. When we asked him how he manages both he said “Na hustle o. you have to diversify. If you wan chop extra you must work extra”. Tomiwa has starred in popular television series “Tinsel”, “So Wrong So Wright”, the current “Tales of Eve”, “This house is not for sale” on MNet and also the current edition of “This Life”. He hosts a television show; Fun Zone. The actor cum comedian who was also the first runner up of the popular movie reality show the Next Movie Star in 2011 says he is currently working on his whole new Television show titled “The Scoop” which will debut soonest. Currently, he’s billed to perform at Gbenga Adeyinka’s Laffmattazz in Ibadan next month alongside rapper M.I, 2face Idibia, Julius Agwu and Okey Bakassi.
